Muhammad thought the Jews and Christians would be impressed with his book, but they were not. His own countrymen initially accused him of disseminating Christian & Jewish information.
It would be difficult to over-exaggerate the importance of the Qur’an to Islam today. To Muslims it is the incarnate Word of God in Arabic.
